About Shiksha Sahitya:
Shiksha Sahitya team produces a wide range of educational resources — including books, modules, and teaching-learning materials (TLMs) — across subjects such as education, social sciences, science, mathematics, languages, arts, theatre, and literature. These resources are designed for a diverse readership, including teachers, educators, neo-literates, researchers, young adults and the wider learning community.
Most publications are produced in Hindi and English.

Must-haves:
- Passion for education, reading and literature
- Spoken and written fluency in Hindi (The same is desirable in English)
- Creative and collaborative approach as well as empathy towards the surroundings
- Openness to learning new skills (both creative and administrative) within the publishing field
Desirable:
- A graduate degree in any discipline
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting in keeping track of the editorial functions by maintaining and updating the title publication lists, and organizing meetings of the editorial and design teams
- Communicating with authors/external editors and coordinating with the design and production teams
- Proofreading, ensuring compliance with the stylesheet, and some copy-editing (including checking designed files and tallying the press-ready file against the checklist)
- Assisting authors/editors in compiling material/text
- Administrative tasks such as coordinating agreements with authors, editors, translators, etc; following up on payments, generating ISBN; providing and updating metadata of ongoing titles, royalty-related work
- Preparing and sending out newsletters/emailers, and periodically writing promotional content for upcoming titles (e.g., posters, social media posts).
- Ideation of social media strategy for the promotion and engagement of the published content in a creative manner
Joining: As soon as possible
Remuneration: 18,000 rupees per month
