The Project Associate will work closely and directly with the Project In-Charge and the project team of Assessment Partner, Eklavya Foundation, and with the Schools2030 implementation team from Aga Khan Foundation (AKF).
About Schools 2030
Schools2030 is an innovative ten-year program dedicated to enhancing learning outcomes. Currently operating in ten different countries, it employs a longitudinal action research methodology with a specific focus on improving the learning experiences of students aged 5+, 10+, and 15+. This program adheres to the Human-Centered Design approach, enabling the development of cost-effective, scalable, and contextually relevant solutions tailored to the holistic development of students from marginalized backgrounds.
In India, Schools2030 operates in a diverse range of educational spaces across Bihar, including Anganwadis, elementary schools, secondary schools, and District Institutes of Education and Training. The primary goal within the Indian context is to elevate learning outcomes in these educational institutions.
About the Assessment Partner segment
Eklavya Foundation served as the National Assessment Partner for the Schools2030 program in India. Our comprehensive engagement spanned assessment design and implementation, capacity building of stakeholders on assessment, learning outcome assessment data collection, and systematic documentation of students' learning evidence across five districts in Bihar.
The responsibilities for the job profile involve;
- Conduct field visits and collaborate with education stakeholders at school, block, and district levels to facilitate and implement programme processes and assessment activities about the assessment partner’s work.
- Design and develop educational assessment processes, learning outcome tools, and related resources.
- Conceptualize, co-author, and produce assessment and research reports/papers in collaboration with the Project In-Charge and field teams.
- Apply advanced skills in Excel and Power BI to analyze, visualize, and report learning outcome assessment data.
- Engage continuously with stakeholders to plan, coordinate, review, and report all project activities.
- Participate actively in the conceptualization, planning, and implementation of pilot testing of assessment tools and independent verification processes with the team.
- Identify and recommend potential areas for capacity building of Eklavya and AKF team members; conceptualize, plan, and facilitate capacity-building sessions.
- Lead and document detailed records of district-level engagement components.
- Undertake and synthesize background research on existing assessment tools and their evaluation.
Essential skill requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education (with specialization/coursework in Educational Assessment preferred) or PG Diploma in Educational Assessment.
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in education, assessment, or research.
- Strong proficiency in written English, with the ability to write, edit, and review documents.
- Critical and analytical approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and reviewing information.
- Interest and aptitude in quantitative data analysis and handling large-scale datasets.
- Strong belief in and commitment to working collaboratively with diverse team members.
Base Location:
The base location will be Bhojpur (Bihar) with frequent visits to the schools across the districts. (There may be occasional visits* to other districts or to Patna, for capacity building/team meetings and other events).
*Kindly note that the team member may have to travel using local public modes of transport such as buses/trains, etc.

Position and Salary range:
Project Associates:
C.T.O.* Rs. 34,000 - Rs. 38,000 (P.M.) C.T.O. will be finalized based on the nature of the match between the candidate’s skills, experience, and the primary requirements of the profile.
(CTO includes health-accident insurance and other social securities).
