Aaganwadi (Shahpur)

Eklavya works in 20 Aaganwadis in Shahpur. The objective of the work is to design an alternate curriculum for Early Childhood Care and Education. Currently 5 out of the 20 Aaganwadis are being developed as the 'models' for designing the alternate curriculum. In these 5 corners, learning centres have being developed with corners which have very specific learning objectives with respect to cognitive development, development of language and numeracy and development of motor muscles. The work in Aaganwadis extends to work with the mothers of the children who come to the Aaganwadis. Regular discussions about nutrition and health are conducted with the mothers.
