About the programme (Schools2030)
Schools 2030 is a new, globally informed, locally rooted 10-year longitudinal action research and learning improvement programme (from 2020-2030) working with 1000 pioneering pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and youth development partners across 10 countries. Schools2030 aims to find out ‘what works’ in equipping children and young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to successfully navigate uncertainty and become contributing members of society, and suspporting such ‘positive deviance’ strategies to improve learning outcomes. Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is implementing agency of the programme Schools2030 in 100 pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and youth spaces of Patna and Samastipur district in Bihar.
Job Profile
Position: Sr. Project Associate
The Sr. Project Associate will work closely and directly with Schools2030 -AKF team, Project In-charge and Project Associate, Eklavya Foundation. The work involvement will consist of;
- Continuous engagement and support to overall planning, coordination, review and reporting of all project activities in consultation with project in-charge.
- Process Documentation of the Schools 2030 programme in Bihar
- Preparing case studies, quarterly reports and school/community profiles with the team
- Documenting workshops/meetings with the teachers, stakeholders etc.
- Preparing reflective reports of all the spaces along with other team members
- Planning, scheduling and organising interviews with key stakeholders
- Prepare drafts or templates which can be used for documentation
- Observe classroom interactions as and when required
- Liasion with AKF India and Global team
- Capture reflections and ‘why’ of a workshop and document the same
- Assistance in conceptualizing, planning capacity-building sessions.
- Provide onsite and off-site support to the project, as well as other Eklavya initiatives, as and when required.
Qualifications and other desirables:
- Graduates / post-graduates in relevant field.
- Relevant work experience of at least 3-5 years.
- Possess interest and abilities to work with students, teachers and community.
- Candidates should have proficiency in verbal and written communications (must possess good command over English & Hindi)
- Group facilitation and team building
- Hands-on experience of using MS-Office and especially spreadsheets/excel
Base Location: Bihar (Patna, Samastipur, 3 more locations to be finalized).
Note: The work will also involve travel to different locations within the state.
Gross Salary:
Project Associate: Rs. 35,000 – 40,000 per month
(CTO includes health-accident insurance and other social securities)
