Job description: Project in charge, Transforming Learning outcomes (Shiksha Sashaktikaran Karyakram) with TRIF (Transforming Rural India Foundation)

Base Location: Rajpur, Barwani, Madhya Pradesh

  • Conceptualize initiatives and make implementation plans according to the project vision and outline and strive towards the achievement of project goals.
  • Undertake person power and activity planning, build systems for reporting and sharing and review periodic progress with the team on the ground.
  • Guide and assist the Block Coordinators, as planned or required.
  • Ensure and build systems for strong liaison with all the partners & stakeholders in this initiative – SRLM, TRIF, education department, PRI bodies and representatives, community members, school teachers, and children as well as other partners of the network.
  • Initiate and build liaison with all the institutional partners at the block, district, and state levels.
  • Prepare reflective reports that glean the learnings from the ground for sharing with the TRIF Education Sector Council and to help senior Eklavya leadership in furthering the Education Sector Council mandate.
  • Oversee all documentation, reporting, team capacity-building activities and ensure timely reports for internal as well as partner sharing.
  • Take initiatives in planning sessions/interactions to nurture growth and balanced mental health of the team
  • Monitor plans and budget and in consultation with the Block Coordinators and Senior Advisors, take appropriate mid-course corrective measures.
  • Provide on-site and off-site support to the project and other Eklavya initiatives, as and when required.

Qualifications and other desirables:

  • Post-graduates, having background and exposure in Education, development studies, governance. Possess interest and abilities to work with students, teachers and community and local governing bodies.
  • Enthusiastic and ready to learn; work for systemic change in the public education system for ensuring delivery of quality education up to the most marginalized child.
  • Zeal to take on challenges; ability to work with a team and lead.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communications (must possess good command over English & Hindi).
  • Group facilitation, and team building
  • Capable of riding a two-wheeler.
  • Computer literate – word processing, excel sheet, data handling.
  • Flexible in working time and tasks.
  • Prepared to live in a rural setting and travel within / outside the state as and when required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in leading a team and implementing field activities involving multiple stakeholders.
  • For equivalent candidates, applications from women, persons from under-served caste, tribe, minority background and differently abled persons will be preferred.

Gross Salary:

Project In charge: Rs. 35,000 – 40,000 per month
(CTO includes health-accident insurance and other social securities)

Salary can be further negotiated if the person has exceptional grounding, skill-set and experience.
