About the programme (Schools2030)

Schools 2030 is a new, globally informed, locally rooted 10-year longitudinal action research and learning improvement programme (from 2020-2030) working with 1000 pioneering pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and youth development partners across 10 countries. Schools2030 aims to find out ‘what works’ in equipping children and young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to successfully navigate uncertainty and become contributing members of society, and supporting such ‘positive deviance’ strategies to improve learning outcomes. Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) is implementing agency of the programme Schools2030 in 100 pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and youth spaces of Patna and Samastipur district in Bihar.

Role of Eklavya Foundation

Eklavya foundation is a learning partner for Schools2030 in India. Eklavya will be documenting the journey of Schools 2030 which involves process documentation of contextualization and co-creation of Human Centric design process. It will also involve the documentation of design thinking process and its learnings around how teachers and local communities respond to the process, how the AKF India team adapts and responds to varying circumstances, perspectives of other stakeholders etc.  It will also involve in documentation of the solutions emerging from the design thinking process, and how the schools, SMC and local community are implementing these solutions. Under process documentation Eklavya will develop the qualitative reports and case studies to achieve the outcomes expected from the learning partner.
